Dear God, Thank you for this day!! Sometimes my world just seems dark; problems abound, stress creeps in, I can't seem to see "the light at the end of the tunnel." But I know You are there to carry me through. Your Word tells me (Psalm 30:5) that "weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning," so I have hope and Your promise of joy. Please continue to lift me up, give me strength, and carry me when necessary, so that I may emerge victorious over the darkness and continually be filled with joy and praise. Thank You and in the sweet name of Jesus, Amen!!!!

I'm Praising my way out!

Hello Family,

I thank God for you all who have stayed committed to this fast with me. I am ever grateful that I can share with those who are taking the same journey with me, enduring and overcoming the challenges that befall us. Today was extremely hard for me. I feel that emotionally I'm at my wit's end and physically I'm almost there. Seeing that I live on campus, I don't have access to the resources I need to make a real meal for myself. I've basically been living on fruits and intermittently having vegetable rice noodles for a meal. Today, I realized that I had it up to my throat with rice noodles and fruit. This was a new feeling for me, a new challenge since I've been pretty ok with the diet part of this fast. I tried almost everything I could to find an alternative meal and it seemed that every door I tried to open slam shut in my face. I was honestly on my way to the edge, about to lay on my bed and cry till I fell asleep. But thank God that His grace is sufficient for me!!! I could feel the Spirit of God urging me to hold on and fill my appetite with His word. He completely changed my focus to see the true author and finisher of my faith and to let me know that no matter how independent I think I can be, I NEED HIM to make it through these days. What an awesome God we serve!!! There's nobody, NOBODY greater than you Lord Jesus. You are Great Jehovah!!!! Mighty, Mighty Mighty are you Lord!!!! AMEN!!!

Dear God,

You have instructed us to not be anxious, worrisome, overly concerned for any thing...but instead to bring everything to You in prayer and thanksgiving. If I do this, You have promised me that Your peace, which passes all understanding, shall keep my heart and mind through Christ Jesus (Phillippians 4:6-7). I come to You now for myself and on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ, and for those who suffer so much due to anxiety and depression. I pray that You will fill us with Your peace; that You will touch our minds and remind us that we do not need to worry. You are our God and maker. You will handle it for us. Worrying does no good. May we lean unto You...talk with You...and spend time in Your word and before the throne of grace. May we fellowship with other Christians, those who will encourage us, even more so as the day approaches. Right now, this day, we give You our concerns and ask that You will work out all to our good and Your glory. Thank You Father, for loving us and carrying our burdens. Thank you Father, for providing our needs. Thank You Father, for Jesus Christ our Savior and the hope He has given. For it is in His name we pray, Amen!!!!!

Dear gracious, merciful, loving Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this day. Thank you for Your never-ending love and Your tender mercies. I pray for those today who are in need of a special touch. Those who are facing challenges, obstacles, or consequences; those who need favor from a spouse, an employer, a friend, a judge, an insurance company, a hospital, a landlord, a financial institution, or any other person or organization with whom there may be a special situation. Please work in these situations, in these lives, in these places to bring about good. Please grant favor, touch hearts, move mountains if necessary for Your will, Your glory, and in the best interest of those who need Your help. May You be honored. May lives be changed. May souls be rescued. May needs be met. In the sweet precious name of Jesus, our soon returning King....I pray, AMEN!!!

Dear God,

I believe You are using circumstances and events to move me into a place of patient waiting as You put me in the place You desire for me. Help my soul to mature, my faith to grow, my life to be more pure and dedicated to You. James 1:2-4 tells me, "Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." Lord, I praise You in the midst of it all--my special trials and daily challenges--knowing that I must learn to be patient and content as I wait upon You. Thank you for being with me through every trial, every day. In Jesus' sweet name I pray, Amen!

View That City

Greetings,

Family I have not posted in a few days. I wanted to check in with everyone to see how you are doing.

I was so blessed to have ministered at a church in DC. The spirit of the Lord was so present and so strong. I was able to see a perfect view of life in the Holy City.

We can have a little talk with Jesus tell him all about our troubles. He will hear my faithful cry and answer by and by.

Bles the Lord!!!!

Happy Fasting!
